JOB DESCRIPTION: Member Service Desk Attendant
SEEKING to fill early opening hours 4:45am open shift.
JOB PRIORITY: To consistently provide members and guests with friendly, efficient service. As the Member Service Desk is the information center of the club, demonstrate the ability to accurately perform all Member Service Desk procedures and to clearly explain all club activities, programs, and to properly direct inquiries.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure proper check-in of all members; check all cards and account status messages.
- Greet all members, guests and prospective members by name when possible; respond to member feedback positively and professionally.
- Ensure proper guest check-in, fee collection, and guest registration forms are completed with signatures
- Display a friendly phone manner, answering all calls within three rings.
- Record phone messages accurately and legibly; demonstrate knowledge of phone system operation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of club activities and membership programs; with effective promotion of identified special events
- Ensure accurate taking of appointments for massage, nursery, and special events.
- Demonstrate knowledge and effective use of point-of-sale terminal/cash register.
- Efficient performance of all club transactions (including retail, cafe, guests, massage, locker rental, nursery, and special events).
- Accurate reconciliation of the Daily Transaction Summary at end of each shift.
a. The closing shift each day will keep the POS available until the last member leaves the club.
- Provide effective member service assistance
- Process lost key payments
- Process ID cards (including replacement cards)
- Coordinate lost and found
- Effective sales of retail and cafe items
- Assist in the maintenance of cafe and retail stocking.
- Maintain complimentary coffee service
- Effective handling of membership inquiry calls, tours, cancellations, freezes and other related issues; referring each to the appropriate staff with accurate and helpful information.
- Interact positively and effectively with Members and Staff as follows:
- Demonstrating positive one-on-one interaction grievances, suggestions and comments
- Provide administrative assistance for billing office and club managers
- Assist in organizing and completing administrative tasks as delegated
- Maintain a clean and organized Member Service Desk
