Director of Ticketing Sales & Ticketing Operations
Annapolis Blues FC, a pre-Professional Soccer Club is looking for a talented and passionate Director of Ticketing Sales and Operations to lead all aspects of Ticketing for both the Men’s and Women’s teams playing in the USL League Two and USL W League, respectively. All Home games will be played at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. About the Role:
The Ticketing Sales & Operations role is a vital part of Annapolis Blues FC, responsible for maximizing ticket sales revenue and ensuring smooth ticketing operations for all home matches and other club events. This role requires a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for soccer and a proven track record in sales and customer service. You will play a key role in creating a positive and seamless experience for our fans from ticket purchase to event attendance.
Responsibilities:
- Ticket Sales:
- Drive ticket sales through various channels, including online platforms, phone sales, and in-person box office sales.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase ticket sales volume.
- Manage and maintain the current online ticketing system , Passage Ticketing
- Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities and partnerships.
- Analyze sales data and provide reports on sales performance, trends, and forecasts.
- Manage Individual, Group ticket sales and Season ticket packages for both teams.
- Oversee and help to train a staff of interns for the Spring/Summer Season in the techniques of sales and promotion of Annapolis Blues FC tickets.
- Ticketing Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ticketing system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Creation of all ticket accounts and issuance of tickets for Season Ticket base, Group Sales & any Individual Tickets as needed.
- Assistance with all Customer Service related questions or issues related to the ticketing process
- Assistance with all Sponsor accounts as related to their tickets included in accounts
- Fulfillment of tickets for any other related ticketing based programs for charity or otherwise (VetTix, Kicks for Kids, etc.) along with Comp tickets issued.
- Manage ticket inventory and allocation for all events.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ticket buyers, resolving inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., marketing, event operations) to ensure smooth event execution.
- Manage the box office and ticketing staff on match days, ensuring efficient and organized operations.
- Implement and enforce ticketing policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot ticketing system issues and escalate technical problems as needed.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with other team projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and ticketing trends.
- Represent the club in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in ticket sales and operations, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong understanding of ticketing systems and software (e.g., Passage Ticketing)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Passion for soccer and a strong understanding of the sports industry.
