Primary Care Physicians Monday through Friday8am-4 : 30pm ( with a 30- minute lunch) 37.5 hours per weekNo weekends or holidays and No after hour on-call.

Malpractice includedDuties Provide treatment to a caseload of patients on the pavilion.Evaluate assigned cases at intake.Sign certificate of admission.
Order and interpret lab tests.Conduct initial physical exams and makes diagnoses of patients.Develop and implements treat plan.Follow up exams and documents change in progress notesPrescribe and direct administration of medicines.Monitor effectiveness of medicationsAdvise nursing staff of unusual treatment and answer questions.Provide clinical direction to staff involved in direct care.Recommend treatment for more difficult clinical cases.Provide back-up coverage of other pavilions and assessments at intake.Serve as officer of the day being available onsite for consultation or emergency medical assistance.Serve as member of the medical committee, pavilion and program meetings, case evaluation, audit and utilization review.
