Instructor is responsible for classroom and lab instruction in the Clinical Medical Assistant field. The instructor is to follow the curriculum outline and learning expectations as provided. Content is housed in Canvas (online learning platform). Instructors must have some computer experience, expertise in the Clinical Medical Assisting field or higher and the ability to effectively manage a classroom. Prior teaching experience is not required. A desire to share your knowledge of the Medical Assistant field is a must! The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare materials needed for instruction, labs, and supplies;Provide basic lab maintenance and track inventory of equipment and tools utilized;Relate instruction and material to course objectives;Discuss and demonstrate workplace safety, personal / patient safety and infection control;Communicate effectively and efficiently with students, other faculty and staff;Submit grades, attendance, reports and records in a timely manner;Prepare students to sit for the national certification clinical medical assistant credential through the National Heathcareer Association (NHA).Required Qualifications : Must have active certification CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA
