This position serves as the Payroll Analyst in the Office of Personnel, overseeing the County's automated timekeeping system, E-Time. The Payroll Analyst I (Management Assistant I) position performs professional administrative work in personnel, records management, office automation, and general office management. Contacts primarily include departmental timekeepers, managers, and employees inside and outside the department/agency to which an employee is assigned to resolve administrative problems, provide recommendations, and agree on courses of action. These contacts are generally cooperative requiring collaboration of effort.

Examples of Duties and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

An employee in this class normally works under the general direction of the Payroll/HRIS Manager and is responsible for providing professional administrative support in processing Payroll in the County's multi-union group environment while demonstrating experience with complex pay rules and union contracts.
