Crisis Response System (CRS) Phone Counselor Supervisor – Evenings
The CRS Phone Counselor Evening Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day
activities of the Operations Center during the evening shift, including hiring, supervising and
scheduling staff. The Supervisor reviews and approves Credible notes from mental health phone
counselors; provides monthly statistics to the CRS Director; and liaises with the Mobile Crisis
Team (MCT) Supervisor and Critical Incident Team (CIT) Supervisor to ensure timely and
effective communication and case-processing between MCT/CIT and operations.
The CRS Phone Counselor Evening Shift Supervisor supervises the evening Team Lead;
maintains program policies, procedures, scheduling and workload of FT, PT and CPT
employees; ensures daily reviews client needs for appropriate follow-up actions; maintains an
updated resource for referrals; obtains feedback from partner groups and providers and makes
needed recommendations for improvement; reviews and approves Credible notes and provides
feedback to appropriate staff. Additionally, they assess the need for MCT or CIT intervention
and communicates with teams to provide summaries of dispatch services; communicates
effectively with callers to diffuse crisis situations; provides support for clients and to the
Operations team members through case debriefings.
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling required as well as an LCPC or
LCSW-C.
Salary range $82,360.72-92,697.72 depending on experience, education, and credentials. Benefits
include: 10 days paid vacation and 5 days paid sick leave the first year (both vacation and sick leave can
be accrued indefinitely); Agency contributions to individual staffs’ 403b account paid twice per year
(following 6 months’ employment) at a percentage rate approved by the Board of Directors; 12 paid
holidays per year; health, vision and dental benefits (Agency pays 80% of the premium); long term
disability and AD&D insurance; reimbursement for licensure; continuing education assistance; use of
company vehicle for business purposes; free parking. Benefits are subject to change based on annual
budget and board of directors’ approval.
