JOB SUMMARY
Performs highly responsible duties in support of the Community Schools program. Oversees financial components of the program, ensuring compliance with AACPS and legal program requirements. Provides day-to-day supervision of Community Schools central office financial staff as directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial oversight for the Community Schools office. Works closely with the Director and Community Schools program manager to ensure efficient allocation of grant awards in alignment with legal program requirements. Back-up financial program authorization signer for program.
- Supports team members and schools in the Community School development process, including development of required MSDE reports.
- Develop, implement, and monitor project plans, timelines, and deliverables to achieve Community Schools program objectives.
- Helps schools develop strong partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, government agencies, institutions of higher education, and business partners to maximize services to the school, students, and families.
- Helps schools build relationships with and increase the school participation and voice of various stakeholders including students, parents, community partners and organizations, healthcare providers, institutions of higher education, government agencies, and volunteers.
- Works collaboratively with representatives from various departments including Budget, Purchasing, Grants, Human Resources, Student Services, Academics, and School Performance to ensure the braiding of funds and efforts to best support schools.
- Collects, maintains, analyzes data to determine the impact of the community school plan, and prepares reports.
- Supports the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and functions of all Community Schools technology applications.
- Co-manages program professional development for staff in partnership with the Director.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience
- Three (3) years professional experience in financial management, preferably in a K-12 environment required; and
- One (1) year experience in a supervisory or program lead role required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

- Thorough knowledge of applicable laws and regulations concerning management of Concentration of Poverty grant funds.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven organizational, analytical and planning skills.
- Knowledge of grants development, application process and grant funding requirements; especially as they relate to public education.

- Experience working with budgets, following regulations and policies related to purchasing, contracting, creating MOUs, and creating budget reports.
- Demonstrated proficiency with database management software systems, spreadsheet applications, data file manipulations, document preparation, word processing applications and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
Employee must retain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment.
- Hold or be eligible for Driver's License (DL) Class C Non-Commercial issued by Maryland or State of Legal Residence (MVA/DMV) required; and
- Daily access to reliable transportation.
