What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Information Technology Specialist (Management Assistant I) position at Anne Arundel County?
This is a technical support work position designed to support the Office of Law technology issues involving the procurement, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a variety of computer platforms specific to the practice of law, and involves working closely with the County’s Office of Information Technology to operate and monitor all multi-platform legal hardware and software, support for electronic recordkeeping, and providing assistance to PC and network/telecommunications systems users.Examples of Duties

•Demonstrated ability to diagnose system problems and develop innovative solutions.
•Demonstrated experience with identification or receipt of project requirements, development of project plan, and implementation/testing of legal technology solutions.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to effectively communicate to a variety of individuals with varying levels of technical expertise and seniority.
•Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with Office of Law staff and the County’s Office of Information Technology.
•Strong technical skills in both PC/networking hardware and software.
•Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing workload.
•Knowledge of legal terminology.
•Knowledge of law office workflow and functions.
•Areas of support include installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop applications specific to the mission of the Office of Law, PC hardware and peripherals, and AV hardware and software.
•Provide input on strategic and tactical direction of law office technology.
•Provide project management and technical expertise for assigned tasks and responsibilities.
•Provide support for electronic recordkeeping and suggestions for best practices.
•Support the procurement and installation of legal software and applications.
•Coordinate maintenance of various technology components and processes.
•Provide attorneys and staff with suggestions and recommendations for technical solutions to business needs and requirements.
Performs related duties as required.
Salary : $57,876 - $103,971
