The sole purpose of this position is to deliver excellent customer service while representing the company in a safe, professional and courteous manner at all times. The route driver is to always comply with all Department of Transportation and State regulations while complying with all company safety and compliance policies in regard to operation of the company equipment.
Responsible for operation of the truck, the weight of the loads, hours worked and performing all service functions on behalf of the company. Responsible for servicing routed customers in the most professional and courteous way, ensuring that all customer service needs are met at all times during any pickups or deliveries. This position is a day shift, Monday through Friday. Hours vary during the day to ensure all customers are serviced completely and accurately.

To perform the duties of this job, the employee must have good interpersonal skills; be patient and tactful; display an enthusiastic, cooperative and friendly attitude at all times with managers, supervisors, co-workers, visitors and customers. Must be able to maintain high business ethics internally and externally. Ability to communicate effectively with all employees as well as executive staff.
- Perform duties in a safe and compliant manner.
- Pickup and transport all waste in a safe and compliant manner according to all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Plans daily route schedule based on customers' needs. Review daily paperwork, manifests, route sheets and all labels provided by supervisor.
- Prepare and load truck to service customers assigned on daily routes ensuring enough supplies are added.
- Pickup waste from each customer on daily routes ensuring that customers have packaged and prepared the waste according to all regulations.
- Responsible for unloading truck daily after route is completed.
- Ensures all paperwork is completed daily and legibly, neatly, accurately and turned into the supervisor each day.
- Must work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self and others while driving, loading, and unloading vehicle. Requires constant mental and visual attention relative to the safe operation of the vehicle.
- Must be able to exert up to "150 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 60 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, push or pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds. May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, have or obtain a DOT, background and motor vehicle records check.
- Other duties as assigned.
