ExpressCare Urgent Care Center is currently seeking flexible and dependable Radiographers with the ability to multi-task in a high paced environment to join our medical team.
$30 - 36 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and holiday premium pay. Sign on bonus of $2500 with full time position. We offer a full benefits package including PTO, SSL and 7 premium pay holidays. Eligible for health, dental and vision (single and family) the first of the month following 30 days of full-time work. 401(k) plan with match available after 1 year. All full-time employees work 3 shifts per week in their marketed area. Our locations are open 7 days a week from 9am-9pm. Open availability and the ability to work weekends and holidays is required. Applicants must be willing to work at any ExpressCare location within 30 miles due to staffing or center emergency or reduction of work.
Key Responsibilities
The Radiographer is responsible for maintaining effective patient throughput, while assisting the provider with maintaining a high level of standard patient care. The Radiographer duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Obtaining quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure
- Generating CD copies of patient images
- Documenting patient information into the EMR
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Conducting rapid lab tests
- Accurately recording lab results in the EMR
- Performing EKGs
- Applying orthopedic splints
- Assisting the provider with simple medical procedures
- Preparing and collecting specimens for in house and outside lab testing
- Adhering to established policies and procedures
- Attending staff meetings as scheduled by Upper Management
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Employee must be 18 years of age or older
- Completion of an associate’s degree or equivalent, required
- Completion of an approved R.T. program, required
- ARRT Certification; Maryland State Radiographer License, required
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital, preferred
- CPR Certification, required
- Must have and have reliable transportation and willing to work at any center due to staffing issue, center emergency or a reduction of work, required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 12 plus hour shifts
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for longer periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as needed
Full-Time 9a-9p, 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends. All centers are open 7 days a week including holidays.
