Location: Jamestown, ND
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Schedule: Full Time
Weekly Hours: 40
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the Cook position is to assist in food preparation, to provide clean and sanitary dish ware, utensils, pots and pans, and to clean and sanitize all assigned areas as scheduled. The position is responsible for preparing dinner meals, preparing lunch meals for the following day, and preparing Saturday and Sunday meals. The position could also help prepare supper if needed, assist with washing and storing dishes, as well as assisting with general cleaning and sanitation.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
Previous experience in food preparation
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to read, understand and follow recipes, written and oral instructions and have good visual perception.
Must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, having integrity, being tactful, courteous, and diplomatic with internal and external contacts. The incumbent could be subjected to frequent interruptions from clients, family members, coworkers, etc.
Understands and has a basic working knowledge of various kitchen equipment, and a computer or be willing to learn computer programs and access time and attendance system
Knowledge/willingness to learn therapeutic diets and allergens
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
