Location: Minot, ND
Shift: Monday – Friday: 8:30am-5:30pm (Varying hours)
Job Schedule: Full or Part Time
Weekly Hours: 20 to 40
JOB SUMMARY:
The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, organizes, develops, and implements pediatric occupational therapy for individual clients and outside contract services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and facility standards, guidelines, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy is required
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility and evidence for license application
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
3 years experience in pediatric occupational therapy or work with intellectually/developmentally disabled population
Knowledge of payment sources and systems related to OT
Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with both internal and external contacts
Experience collaborating with ABA programming
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
Provide direct therapeutic interventions for a varied caseload with a variety of diagnosis in a variety of locations
Provide established OT treatment programs to clients, evaluate, plan, organize the implementation of occupational therapy for assigned caseload.
Assist in establishing short and long term treatment goals
Consult with other professionals providing services to clients on caseload
Collect and compile data to document clients’ performance or assess program quality to make recommendations for change in treatment plan as needed
Complete ongoing assessment to determine changes in treatment plan as needed
Document clients progress toward meeting establish treatment objectives
Selects and/or prepares appropriate assessment tools, equipment and materials according to the clients’ functional limitations to determine therapeutic interventions and therapy
Utilize adaptive equipment for client to assist with progress
Manage inappropriate or disruptive behavior according to treatment plan consulting for assistance when necessary
Report health concerns, medical issues and/or changes in clients’ condition throughout treatment to Operations Manager
Uphold Anne Carlsen’s ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations defined in policies and procedures
Completes required training and educational program requirements per State, Federal, local and Anne Carlsen policies and procedures
