Occupational Therapy Assistant - Certified

Up to $5,000 sign on bonus and loan repayment eligible!   Location: Minot, ND Shift: Monday – Friday 8:30-5:30pm Varying hours Job Schedule: Full Time Weekly Hours: 40   JOB SUMMARY The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is to perform specific pediatric occupational therapy duties under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).  Evaluations, treatment goals, treatment modifications, and discharges are established by the OT, and this data is interpreted by the COTA within the scope of their education.  The COTA administers modalities, exercise, client education and other treatments to achieve client goals and outcomes, as determined by the OT. The COTA responds to inquiries regarding client status to appropriate parties within the protocol established by OT.     QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements) Education and/or years’ experience required: Applied Associates of Science degree from an AOTA accredited school for COTA’s  Current North Dakota licensure as a certified occupational therapist assistant; or eligibility and evidence of application for licensure.  Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities: Preferred two years’ experience in the areas of pediatrics, young adults, adults, and/or developmental disabilities is desired, but not necessary. Ability to manage a caseload commensurate to their FTE status. Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills; being tactful, courteous, and diplomatic with internal and external contacts, including co-workers, clients, the team, other medical professionals, and families.
