Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient monitoring to ensure health and safety, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations and resident rights at all times.
- Document care provided and any significant observations in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or personal care assistance preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds.
