Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor FLSA status: Salary Exempt
Department: Maintenance Reports to: Director of Operations
Position Summary: Primarily responsible for planning and overseeing the work of maintenance staff to ensure safe and efficient operations of the facility. The maintenance staff is tasked with the upkeep of buildings and grounds, as well as upkeep of machinery needed to operate and maintain the facility. In addition to directing the work of subordinates, the maintenance supervisor may also be required to perform maintenance duties himself as needed.
General purpose: Manage and supervise all functions of the Maintenance department ensuring that all maintenance activities in the facility are appropriately carried out in a safe, clean and business-like manner.
Position responsibilities:
Ø Ensuring that all maintenance activities in the facility are appropriately carried out.
Ø Maintaining and upholding the quality and standards of the organization.
Ø Maintaining a record of all maintenance and service activities conducted.
Ø Ensuring proper working shifts of employees.
Ø Evaluating the maintenance staffs performance.
Ø Interact with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facility.
Ø Complying with all safety norms and regulations set by the industry.
Ø Delegating work to subordinates and ensuring a timely completion.
Ø Filing purchase orders and other documentations for the procurement of spare and replacement parts.
Ø Promote work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures and requirements.
Ø Ensure compliance with all company and Human Resource policies and procedures.
Ø Be available to work any shift and any day of the week.
Ø Provide timely feedback on issues that affect safety, quality or productivity.
Ø Consistently promote a positive image through appearance and actions, of the department and the company both within and outside the workplace.
Ø Perform other duties as assigned.
