What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Services Specialist position at Anniston Housing Authority?
Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, or the HCV Coordinator the employee is responsible for recruiting and engaging Anniston Housing Authority (AHA) families and HCV participants with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) initiated Self Sufficiency Programs.
Essential Job Functions
1. Recruit families living on the AHA's Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Program
for HUD initiated program.
2. Complete an assessment of each household member.
3. Maintain records of each family.
4. Provide Case Management to each family member.
5. Assist each family member in setting individual goals, and the family in setting
household goals together.
6. Connect families with agencies to assist them with their goals and needs.
7. Follow-up monthly with families on completing scheduled tasks.
8. Schedule events for family members to do together or individually.
9. Plan activities for families and youth.
10. Look for funding to support planned activities.
11. Provide transportation to families for scheduled events.
12. Serve as a mentee for youth programs.
13. Attend trainings that coincide with Job duties.
14. Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
