Position Overview : Anode is seeking a highly skilled Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of our modular platform architecture for mobile battery energy storage systems (mBESS). This key role will drive the mechanical design and engineering of core mechanical systems that form the foundation of Anode's product portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with creative problem-solving abilities to deliver elegant engineering solutions that meet both functional requirements and industrial design objectives. Key Responsibilities :
- Platform Architecture Development
Lead the conceptualization and development of a modular mechanical platform that will serve as the foundation for multiple product variants. Drive key architectural decisions that balance performance, manufacturability, and scalability.
Own the design of critical mechanical systems including structural elements, thermal management solutions, and electromechanical systems. Develop comprehensive 3D models and technical documentation using CAD tools.
Conduct thorough engineering analysis including FEA, CFD, and thermal simulations to validate designs. Lead prototype development and testing to verify performance against requirements.
Collaborate closely with industrial design, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, and production requirements. Mentor junior engineers and guide external design partners.
Drive fast-paced design iterations through the product development cycle, from concept to production, while maintaining high standards and meeting aggressive timelines.
