Job Overview
As the Café Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations within your café. As the leader of our cafe team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving business growth. Ultimately you will help drive store profitability, and Team Member engagement, and turn our Café into a favorite local spot in the community.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
· Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints, striving to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity.
· Oversee all aspects of cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial accountability.
· Ensure that the cafe operates efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding established quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales metrics, customer satisfaction scores, and labor costs, and take proactive measures to address any issues or opportunities for improvement.
· Train and coach staff on best practices for customer service, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
· Recruit, hire, train, and supervise cafe staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel.
· Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to foster a positive and productive work environment.
· Schedule staff effectively to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs within budgetary constraints.
· Facilitate staff training sessions on product knowledge, service standards, and safety protocols.
· Monitor sales trends, analyze financial reports, and identify opportunities to increase profitability and control costs.
· Manage cafe finances, including revenue tracking, expense management, and budget adherence.
· Ensure accurate cash handling procedures, cash register reconciliation, and adherence to accounting policies.
· Conduct regular inspections of the cafe premises, equipment, and facilities to ensure they meet safety and cleanliness standards.
· Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
· Accountable for upholding the company policies and procedures as approved by the leadership team.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
· 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
· 2 years of customer service experience required.
· Prior café or coffee shop experience a plus.
· Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Ability to work a flexible work schedule and meet business demands, including weekends and holidays.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Capability to stand on your feet for a shift of 8 hours or more at one time.
· Basic understanding of business metrics.
· Customer-focused (customer is always the top priority).
· Cash handling experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
