Anodyne Surgical is a privately held, mid-sized manufacturing company specializing in the production of disposable ophthalmic needles used in eye surgeries such as cataract removal and LASIK. Located near the intersection of I-64 and Highway K in O'Fallon, MO, we are growing and looking for dedicated individuals to join our team to meet production needs. Job Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble, and repair high-precision ophthalmic instruments based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Operate various precision machines (CNC, lathes, mills, grinders) and hand tools to produce parts and instruments with exact tolerances.
- Assemble ophthalmic instruments and calibrate them to ensure proper functionality, ensuring all parts work harmoniously for optimal performance.
- Perform thorough inspections and testing of instruments to meet strict medical device standards, including FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and other industry requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all manufacturing processes, inspections, and testing to comply with regulatory standards and internal quality protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in machining or ophthalmic instrument manufacturing preferred, but not required.
- At least 2 years of experience in precision instrument making, machining, or a similar field is preferred, but candidates with a strong technical aptitude or hands-on experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Ability to operate and learn precision machines (CNC, lathes, mills, grinders) and hand tools. Previous experience is helpful, but we will train the right candidate.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work with small, intricate parts.
- While experience with ophthalmic surgical instruments or medical devices is a plus, we welcome candidates from other precision manufacturing fields or those with a passion for learning.
