The Director of Human Resources will report to the President.
Overview:
The Director of Human Resources will ensure smooth daily operations of Anodyne’s Human Resources Department, provide support and direction on matters of employer-employee relations, recruiting, the employee life cycle, and administration of employee benefits. The successful candidate will act as a liaison with Anodyne’s management team as appropriate. The successful candidate will serve as the key resource for Human Resource employees in their day-to-day responsibilities, and will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating staff to assure high quality outcomes and attainment of department and company goals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Directs and supports all daily human resources functions. Mentors, supports, and supervises HR staff of six (6) to ensure smooth daily operations within department.
- Lead, execute, manage, and participate as needed in the employee lifecycle process with a heavy focus on managing employee relations.
- Manages, supports, and maintains employee-employer relations. Coach and counsel supervisors and managers on employee relation issues; act as a day to day resource for manager, supervisors and employees for questions, concerns, and changes related to HR matters.
- Serve as a principal liaison between support staff and the fellow Anodyne managers to provide effective flow of communication and resolution to operational issues.
- Conduct employee investigations and provide guidance and suggestions for proper resolutions; directs and supports the enforcement of employee policies; issue and track disciplinary actions including termination.
- Implement and maintain Human Resource policies, procedures, and systems to ensure they are in compliance with federal, state, local, and industry employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices.
- Direct and support recruiting and sourcing duties of the department to ensure a continuous pipeline of candidates for employment. Actively contributes toward the development, execution and improvement of immediate and long-term hiring strategies, including employee levels, policies, compensation, etc., to meet business objectives. Partner with HR team members to develop and recommend strategies that will drive candidate flow and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Manage, coordinate and administer all facets of employee benefits and insurances.
- Direct, support, and maintains employee safety and health programs.
- Directs and supports the processing of unemployment claims in a timely manner and attend unemployment hearings as needed.
- Creates, processes, and maintains various forms and reports related to documentation of human resources activities.
- Manages and supports the development and maintenance of Human Resources records. Ensures employee personnel files are complete and comply with all regulations and guidelines.
- Works on special projects in support of the HR team
- Recommend and contribute to process improvements
- Assists other management personnel as needed to accomplish company goals and results.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, organizational skills, and leadership skills
- Successful candidate must possess strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Successful candidate must have the ability to handle and document sensitive situations
- Experience with ATS (Bullhorn experience is a plus)
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, in our Quincy office
- Ability to travel to one of our local satellite offices as needed
- Homecare experience preferred
- Bilingual candidate preferred
- Experience working with diverse population preferred
