Art Teacher - Community Ed Youth Instructors
Instructors are responsible for delivery of curriculum of Community School Programs for Grade 1-Grade 5.
Date & Hours: Late March-May; Dates vary according to instructors schedule. After school 3:30pm-5pm
Locations: Multiple elementary schools
Duties include: We are looking for a dynamic and engaging art teacher to inspire young artists in our elementary after-school "Paint and Create" program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of art fundamentals and experience teaching children in a fun and supportive environment. Responsibilities include planning and implementing art projects, managing classroom materials, and fostering creativity in students.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/on site.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous Art teaching experience preferred. Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities preferred. Previous experience working with elementary age students preferred.
