Responsibilities:
- Administer health and/or development screenings for the Early Childhood Screening Program.
- Discuss the general development of the child with parent(s), including providing resources to address health and parenting concerns.
- Assist in identifying children to be evaluated for special education programming.
- Refer families to community resources.
- Maintain records of screening.
- Follow-up on health-related referrals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Licensed Special Education Teacher or Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability/desire to work cooperatively with department and district staff.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Physical ability to perform position responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public Health Certificate (PHN) preferred.
- Licensed Special Education Teacher or Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
Compensation:$31.61/hour and up, depending on qualifications.
