About the Role

As a Product Engineer at Anon, you'll work at the intersection of engineering, design, and product to build and scale our core authentication platform. This role combines thoughtful technical design with rapid iteration and product development, giving you direct impact on the developer experience of thousands of users across our marquee enterprise customers. You'll collaborate with product managers and designers to shape and implement features that define the future of AI agent authentication.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development & Implementation

Design and build new product features from concept to deployment

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across our technology stack

Implement scalable solutions that support our growing user base

Build and maintain critical platform APIs and interfaces

Create elegant solutions for complex technical challenges

Technical Architecture & Quality

Contribute to core platform architecture and design decisions

Implement robust data models and API interfaces

Ensure code quality through reviews and automated testing

Monitor system performance and address bottlenecks

Develop logging and observability solutions

Cross-functional Impact

Work closely with designers to implement polished user interfaces

Partner with product managers to refine technical requirements

Collaborate with other engineering teams on shared infrastructure

Support customers by providing technical context

Contribute to technical documentation and developer guides

What We're Looking ForTechnical Requirements

2-5 years of experience for Standard role; 5-8 years for Senior role

Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript and at least one backend language (Rust, Go)

Experience with modern cloud infrastructure and distributed systems

Track record of shipping complex technical products end-to-end

Familiarity with authentication systems and API design

Experience with browser automation tools is a plus

Business & Product Acumen

Prior startup experience as a founder, early employee, technical product manager, or product leader

Prior experience building developer-facing products

Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them to technical solutions

Experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Strong product intuition and attention to implementation details

Culture & Mindset

Builder mentality with examples of self-initiated projects and innovations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Thrives in ambiguous environments and can create structure from chaos

Passion for AI technology and its potential to transform the internet

Desire to work in a collaborative, in-person environment in San Francisco (Hayes Valley)
