About the Role

As a Special Projects Engineer at Anon, you'll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and business to tackle our most strategic technical initiatives. This hybrid role combines hands-on development with product strategy and customer insights, giving you broad impact across the organization. You'll collaborate directly with founders and leadership to identify, scope, and execute on projects that push the boundaries of what's possible with AI agent authentication.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Technical Ownership

  • Lead experimental technical initiatives from concept to production
  • Evaluate new technologies and approaches to solve complex integration challenges
  • Work directly with founders to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions and product features

Full-Stack Development

  • Build and ship critical features across our entire technology stack
  • Develop proof-of-concept implementations and technical prototypes
  • Create example applications and integration demos for customers
  • Contribute to core platform architecture and design decisions
  • Cross-functional Impact

  • Bridge communication between engineering, product, and business teams
  • Participate in customer calls to gather technical requirements and provide solutions
  • Influence product roadmap through technical insights and market understanding
  • Create technical content including documentation, blog posts, and developer guides
  • What We're Looking ForTechnical Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience for Standard role; 5-8 years for Senior role
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript and at least one backend language (Rust, Go)
  • Experience with modern cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
  • Track record of shipping complex technical products end-to-end
  • Familiarity with authentication systems and API design
  • Experience with browser automation tools is a plus
  • Business & Product Acumen

  • Prior startup experience as a founder, early employee, or technical product leader
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them to technical solutions
  • Experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong product intuition and ability to balance technical trade-offs with business impact
