Commercial Marine Construction Company is looking for a qualified individual who is experienced, well-organized, detail-oriented and can manage concurrent projects. A successful candidate can solve technical problems for clients using value engineering, as needed. They will monitor projects, so they are delivered on time and on budget. The ideal candidate should have at least ten years of experience from the initial estimate to project completion in marine or civil construction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Estimate marine construction projects for public and private clients.
- Use value engineering to meet client needs and manage project costs.
- Engineering support for field operations.
- Material takeoffs, purchasing materials, identify and qualify potential subcontractors.
- Organize and manage subcontractors.
- Collaborate with company employees and third-party vendors to solve problems.
- Review project plans and specifications to verify consistency with actual site conditions.
- Provide ongoing monitoring of project progress to stay within budget and timeline.
- Keep organized records of project related decisions and documents, electronic and paper job files.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, including general and special terms and conditions.
- Obtain permits and licenses working with permit consultants.
- Manage project documentation.
- Provide coordination between field and office operations.
- Business development.
