Area Manager (Automotive Industry) - Greenville / Fountain Inn, SC area
- Position will require traveling to locations such as Greenville, Greer, Fountain Inn, Simpsonville, Union, Anderson, Spartanburg, Laurens, and others
- Mainly a Day Shift position, but will require working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays due to customer requirements
Summary of the Area Manager :
Oversee all day-to-day operations of personnel and quality control operations. Manage a positive customer relationship with all corporate employees. Assure that all projects are setup in eValidate properly and eValidate is used for data entry and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Area Manager :
Maintain enough staff to keep lines operating to full capacity. Enter all employees into eValidate projectsDevelop all new employees in conjunction with shift supervisors in accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environmentMaintain the daily schedule of all personnel and the lines in which will be functioning that day. Work closely with shift supervisors and the Recruiting Department to assure coverage is available when neededOversee and verify timesheet logs are collected daily, verify they are being entered into eValidate daily. Assure timesheets are uploaded to eValidate each week for all projectsOversee all training and personnel including quality inspectors and shift supervisors. Verify that all training matrixes are being updated and personnel are being trained properly. Verify that training documents have been uploaded to eValidate.Verify all projects on eValidate homepage are setup correctly and have all required uploads. These requirements are : uploaded work instructions, uploaded training documents, iChart setup and used if data is required, a daily report distribution list, completed daily reports by assigned employee that are complete and informativeContinually review inconsistencies in performance or quality with Territory Manager and Quality ManagerAssist the corporate human resources department in implementing new policies and proceduresAssist Territory Manager to manage customer support and plan and support sales and marketing activitiesConduct quality audits with site supervisorsConduct training audits with site supervisorsConduct performance audits with site supervisorsIn addition to the previous mentioned Roles and Responsibilities, employees must comply with their direct supervisor's request(s) to participate in special projects or complete tasks that fall outside the scope of this job descriptionEducation and Experience requirements of the Area Manager :
High School Diploma requiredAssociate Degree or five years of related work experience preferredRequired Skills of the Area Manager :
Previous production management experienceMinimum three-years of experience working within the automotive manufacturing industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMicrosoft Office proficiencyAdvanced writing and math skillsA successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.
