GENERAL FUNCTION
The Training Coordinator takes action to make the Manufacturing Facility “The Best Place to Work” for associates. Gives associates the tools/ training to understand and implement work instructions and standard operating procedures within the facility.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, coordinates and provides strong hands-on training to current and new associates in manufacturing and other departments.
- Proactively addresses issues of performance; works in support of supervisor and managers to develop and strengthen skills and competencies of assigned team members.
- Leads new employee orientation; motivates and encourages to improve employee retention.
- Acts as a liaison between trainees, and management staff to resolve training issues.
- Coordinates and over sees the training and onboarding of new hires through the first 90 days -complete compliance with performance management and onboarding tools and processes.
- Proactive in identifying training needs and recommending alternative training resources.
- Facilitates or Co-facilitates safety training and arranges third-party training insuring complete compliance.
- Prepares and documents training plans and posts on training board.
- Updates, uploads, and publishes all relevant training records and plans
- Tracks and reports the hours and cost of training. Calculates and communicates the impact of training through the key operating metrics, turnover, and associate satisfaction.
- Maintains training materials; provides input for standardized work Instructions.
- Conducts weekly training meetings with team leaders and supervisors.
- Conducts quality and time evaluations for manufacturing associates.
- Maintains associate training files to include safety and development.
- Ensures facility compliance with ISO standards in training requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to ensure consistent implementation of procedures.
- Perform all duties in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Work in a role with measurable standards – maintaining production goals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School education or equivalent. Associates degree in a related field preferred.
- Transferable previous related experience and/or training
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the organization.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn how to use systems, computer operated machinery, and cloud based software.
