Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis using the 5 Why method to identify and address quality issues.
- Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes for new product launches.
- Ensure adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations and ensure facility compliance.
- Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and training programs.
- Utilize ERP software for tracking quality metrics and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality management within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including FDA and USDA standards.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
- Proficient in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to drive quality initiatives.
- Experience with ERP software and data management.
- Certifications in quality management or food safety are a plus.
