As the Senior IT Project Manager for our Department of Defense (DoD) customer, you will oversee critical engineering and acquisition initiatives. In this high-visibility, strategic role, you will be essential for ensuring exceptional project management and oversight across a diverse portfolio, including Installation Processing Nodes (IPNs) Cyber Tools, Enterprise Software Agreements, Military Construction (MILCON) projects, Local Area Networks (LAN), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and additional engineering and acquisition efforts within the client’s portfolio. You must be a results-driven leader with extensive experience managing complex IT projects supporting mission-critical DoD objectives. Minimal travel may be required. To thrive, you should have :
- A Top-Secret (TS) clearance, with the ability to upgrade to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS / SCI).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of project management experience across IT, Engineering, and Acquisitions; PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, SDLC, cloud solutions, and enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage matrixed teams, and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
- Relevant experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) programs is desired. Responsibilities as the Senior IT Project Manager include :
- Serve as the primary interface between the contractor and government leadership, providing strategic direction for the project portfolio. Ensure task plans and deliverables align with project schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations.
- Manage diverse stakeholders across multiple time zones using negotiation and influence skills. Manage capital budgets, identify inefficiencies, resolve roadblocks, and drive strategic decision-making to accelerate project delivery.
- Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to communicate project progress. Delegate and oversee subordinate tasks to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and recommend realistic project schedules, estimates, and budgets. Drive adherence to approved plans while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee contract deliverables, ensuring compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and annual operating plans. Provide extended hours, weekends, and on-call support for mission-critical operations as required.
