The company is seeking a director-level candidate to advise clients on fundraises as well as direct/single asset capital raises and source new institutional and family office investors. Current primary fundraises range from $300m to $1bn and include buyout, growth, and real assets strategies. Current direct and secondary opportunities range from $20m to $100m. There is significant leadership and advancement potential.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Primary Fundraising: Raise capital from institutional and family office investors in North America, Europe, and to a lesser extent, Asia, and the Middle East.
- Direct/Co-Investments: Raise equity capital for sponsor-led buyout and minority equity opportunities.
- Deepen relationships with leading institutional and family office investors.
- Attend industry conferences and travel with clients to meet investors (app. 20% of role).
- Clearly communicate the details of each investment opportunity to potential investors.
- Advise clients on the capital formation process including go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and materials.
- Manage the full capital formation process including outreach to investors, scheduling calls and meetings, investor due diligence, and closing.
- Raise a minimum of $100m of new investor capital per year.
Candidate Requirements:
- 10 years' capital raising experience and track record within private markets.
- Established relationships with institutional (pension, E&F, insurance, etc.) and family office investors.
- Active Series 7 and 63 preferred but not required, candidate can become registered after hire.
- Have a rigorous work ethic, excellent sales ability, and strong attention to detail.
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and related Office software.
- Experienced using CRM systems and customer tracking solutions.
