As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of the financial processes. We’re looking for a self-starter with strong attention to detail, a passion for learning, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with accounting principles.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Process employee expense reports and ensure timely and accurate reimbursements.
- Perform quarterly reconciliations of the fixed asset schedule and update records as needed.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and financial schedules.
- Prepare and submit financial, compliance, and industry-specific reports.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and support inventory management and reporting processes.
- Allocate costs accurately to various departments, products, or projects.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare financial reports and statements for internal management review.
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to process improvements and team success.
