Summary of Responsibilities
At Another Broken Egg we are proud of our Southern-Inspired scratch cooking! Breakfast Line Cook Buscando Cocineros ensures that each food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. You will accurately and efficiently cook the food, as well as prepare and portion your station prior to cooking. In addition, Line Cooks follow all recipes, portions, guidelines, sanitation, and basic safety in order to produce food according to our standards. The food at Another Broken Egg sets us apart from any other Daytime Café and it’s on our Line Cooks’ shoulders to consistently deliver.

• Must be able to communicate with management team
• Takes direction and works well in a team environment
• Must have prior experience in a high-volume restaurant setting (at least 6 months)
• Prior breakfast or heavy sauté experience preferred
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
• Be able to safely reach, bend, lift and easily maneuver up to 50 pounds
Primary Responsibilities::
• Responsibility for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Knowledge of all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using gas stoves, griddles, fryers, and broilers
• Plates all dishes to standards assuring that each item is cooked to the Guest’s specifications
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly in accordance with the Health Department
• Close to open – Prepares, stocks, and deep cleans station to be ready for open the next day.
• Looks for opportunities and bring suggestions for improvement.
