POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Information Technology will be responsible for strategically overseeing all technology-related functions within the organization. This includes managing both corporate and franchise IT functions to ensure alignment with the company's business goals. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the technological infrastructure and ensuring that IT initiatives align with Another Broken Egg Cafe's growth objectives. The VP will lead a small, dedicated team and collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology solutions that support operational efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement the overall IT strategy for both corporate and franchise operations to drive business efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
Work closely with the CFO and other senior leadership to align technology with business goals and ensure IT investments are both cost-effective and impactful.
Lead and foster a strong relationship with key stakeholders across the business to understand technology needs and propose appropriate solutions.
IT Infrastructure Management
Oversee the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of corporate and franchise IT systems, networks, and hardware.
Ensure the company’s IT infrastructure supports daily operations, both at the Support Center and field locations.
Identify areas for technological improvement and innovation, implementing solutions to enhance operations and customer experiences.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure effective execution of IT projects.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, skill development, and high performance.
Work to establish clear performance goals and development paths for IT team members.
Budgeting and Resource Management
Collaborate with the CFO to develop and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Monitor and control IT expenditures, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget and on time.
Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring value-driven partnerships with technology providers.
Cybersecurity and Data Protection
Oversee the company’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring that both corporate and franchise IT functions are protected from cyber threats.
Implement data protection policies and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Project Management
Lead major IT projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals, budget, and timeline.
Drive continuous improvement in IT processes, systems, and tools to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
Franchise Support
Ensure seamless IT support for franchise partners, including systems setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with franchisees to provide updates on technology changes and new solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior IT management role.
Proven experience managing both corporate and franchise IT functions, ideally within a multi-location or franchise environment.
Strong background in IT strategy, project management, and infrastructure management.
Experience with cybersecurity practices, risk management, and compliance regulations.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Expertise
Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, including cloud technologies, enterprise software, and networking solutions.
Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems, restaurant management software, and data analytics tools.
Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and database management systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will be based from our Cafe Support Center located in Orlando, FL
Occasional travel to both corporate and franchisee locations will be required.
