Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming if needed.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during patient care procedures.
- Assist with the use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, demonstrating knowledge of emergency medicine protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain infection control standards.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with home community care practices.
- Experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage and maintenance.
- Basic understanding of emergency medicine procedures for patient safety.
- Experience caring for patients with Dementia.
