Personal Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to provide essential support in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of the needs of individuals requiring assistance. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being and comfort of clients, particularly those who wish to stay in their own homes.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
• Assist in managing medications and appointments, ensuring timely administration and attendance.
• Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their participation in community activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient care, long-term care, or assisted living is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with patient monitoring techniques
• Familiarity with meal preparation for individuals with dietary restrictions.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
