Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate New Jersey Certified Job Coach to help individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, and other barriers to employment succeed in the workforce. As a Job Coach, you will provide hands-on training and individualized support, both in the workplace and in the community, to ensure clients are job-ready and can maintain long-term employment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to understand each client’s strengths, challenges, and career goals.
- Develop customized training and skill-building plans.
- Provide job readiness training, including communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Assist clients in securing job placements and provide on-the-job support.
- Work with employers to ensure workplace accommodations and supports are in place.
- Monitor client progress and adjust training methods as needed.
- Offer ongoing support to clients to help maintain employment.
- Keep accurate records of client progress, interventions, and outcomes.
- Assist with resume writing, interview prep, and job search strategies.
Qualifications:
- New Jersey Job Coach Certification (or equivalent through the New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services).
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or other employment barriers.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with job coaching, vocational rehabilitation, or career counseling.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in using job coaching software, Microsoft Office, and other digital tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience working with diverse populations and in various industries.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
