Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from mental health and substance use challenges. This position requires a strong commitment to helping clients achieve their personal goals through effective counseling, crisis management, and support services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support and guidance to clients in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored recovery plans.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and participation in their recovery process.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to assist clients during critical moments.
  • Mentor clients by sharing personal experiences and providing practical advice for overcoming challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and interventions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Facilitate group sessions focused on behavioral health education, coping strategies, and life skills development.

Experience

  • A background in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in crisis management and intervention techniques is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with addiction counseling principles and practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of social work systems and resources available for individuals in recovery is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective client interaction.
  • Previous experience in mentoring or supporting individuals facing behavioral health challenges is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
