Come support our future Explorers! Another Source’s client, Monterey Bay Aquarium, is recruiting a Instructional Coach to join their growing team in Monterey Bay, CA. Monterey Bay Aquarium just celebrated their 40th anniversary last October - continue to be a part of their magic!

You’ll even be a part of the selection committee for a full-ride scholarship to one student to attend California State University - Monterey Bay. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide trauma-informed, holistic support for high school and college-aged students, including daily check-ins and wellness coaching 
  • Manage and mentor a 10-person team delivering youth programming focused on conservation and STEAM education 
  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs—including field trips, workshops, and scholarship initiatives 
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of the CSUMB scholarship program, including student selection and alumni engagement 
  • Support professional development for team members through coaching, resources, and external opportunities 
  • Contribute to organizational learning through program assessment and participation in academic publishing 
  • Collaborate across departments to align efforts with the Aquarium’s broader education and DEIA missions 

Required Experience: 

  • Current Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) 
  • 5 years of experience in education or youth development, preferably with middle and high school-aged students 
  • 5 years of supervisory experience, including staff development, evaluation, and equitable hiring 
  • Proven experience with trauma-informed practices, crisis response, and mental health support 
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and inclusive educational practice 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) 
  • Master’s degree in education, youth development, marine science, or related fields 
  • Familiarity with conservation education, STEAM integration, or nonprofit programming 
  • Experience working with families or building family engagement programs 
  • Comfort using educational technology (e.g., iPads, Google Suite) for instruction and management 
  • Strong communication, curriculum design, and public speaking skills 
  • Knowledge of Monterey Bay’s natural history or marine science (a plus!)

Salary: $75,400-$95,000 depending on alignment of experience and internal equity
