Lead HSE Manager At Anova
Lead HSE Managers are critical to Anova’s implementation and execution of our and our clients’ safety management programs. The position is a key component for our continued success and growth in providing professional services to our clients. Individuals are trained and knowledgeable on OSHA 1926 Construction Standards and have experience with field application. Further knowledge and certifications in OSHA 1910 general industry safety standards and ergonomics is beneficial for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leading the implementation of the corporate and project safety program over construction projects generally ranging from 50mil – 250mil
- Understand and apply industry standards (ASTM, ASME, ANSI, ASHRAE, NFPA, NIBS, NEC, ICCC, OSHA etc.) into day-to-day activities
- Manage audit process and analyze findings
- Provide audit data to project teams to determine risks and mitigation plans Performing field safety audits
- Perform accident investigation, conduct root cause analysis, determine and implement corrective actions
- Safe work permit execution
- Reviewing safety inspection records
- Reviewing contractor Project Specific Safety Plans (PSSPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Performing risk assessments
- Facilitate toolbox talks
- Performing project gap analyses
- Performing OSHA standard compliance reviews
Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degrees in either Engineering, Construction Management or related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of experience in construction-specific safety role
- Certifications and training in OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 30 hour required
- OSHA 500 & 501 and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- Experience with OCIP/CCIP preferred
- In-depth knowledge of construction related to OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards, and strong documentation practices.
- Must be an effective communicator, able to generate professional written material and deliver effective verbal presentations
