Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Criminal Intelligence Analyst to support the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security (USD(I&S))’s Counterintelligence and Security (CI&S) Directorate. In this role you will provide law enforcement action officer support to the DoD physical security, personnel security, and insider threat programs.
Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the review, analysis, development and implementation of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Multiple Threat Alert Center (MTAC) function for the DoD in managing known or suspected terrorist encounter information, to include Identity Matching Engine for Security and Analysis (IMESA).
- Interface with law enforcement counterparts, military criminal investigative organizations, the defense manpower data center, and terrorist screening center on NCIS MTAC issues pertaining to the development and monitoring of terrorist screening database alerts.
- Prepare and provide regular written and verbal updates to MTAC leadership.
- Conduct IMESA briefings to senior and executive level leaders (DoD and other federal agencies)
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree (Associate’s degree may be accepted with an additional 5 years of experience)
- 5 years experience with law enforcement terror screening or intelligence community terror screening vetting or policy
- Experience with Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community (IC) databases (e.g., Terrorist Screening Databases) to assess derogatory information on DoD affiliated and local population persons
- Ability to work various shifts in a 24/7 Watch Center (as required during surge support)
- Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Demonstrated high level of proficiency of the English language, both written and oral.
- Familiarity with security policy, counterintelligence, and law enforcement processes and procedures as conducted within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Joint Staff and Military Departments
