Public Space Attendant / Housekeeper
Must have nights and weekend availability
Do you like keep busy and moving? Do you like to be helpful and part of a team? Do you have an eye for clean and making things look sharp -- floors shining and brass gleaming? Are you willing to pitch in when an extra set of hands is needed? Then you will be very happy working in housekeeping with our friendly hard working team so that when members & guests use our public areas (living room, restrooms, corridors, etc.) they are wowed.
In the role of Public Area (Lobby) Attendant you will:
Focus on Details -- ensure the public areas are clean and tidy. Be sure to report anything missing or in need of repair
Be Organized -- ensure any areas assigned to you, e.g. (public restrooms, the fitness center, etc.) are kept stocked, clean and crisp.
Be a Team Player -- help your coworkers by pitching as needed, e.g. taking on house person duties if needed or folding towels in laundry.
Be a Housekeeping Ambassador -- Share a warm greeting and a smile with all the members & guests you encounter
Be a Safety & Security Agent -- follow your club's established safety and security policies & procedures. Anticipate problems and call management as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cleaning of public areas to include, but not limited to cleaning of public restrooms, corridors, lobby areas and other public spaces in the club. This may include vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, waxing, scrubbing, wiping and dusting.
- Distribute linens, towels and supplies.
- Observe and report any damage of club property.
- Participate in the scheduled general cleaning of the club house.
- Report maintenance requests to insure public areas comply with Club standards.
- Ability to arrive at work on time and when scheduled.
- Ability to work independently, completing all daily assigned duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members verbally and / or in writing.
- Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to the areas assigned.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
- Additional duties as requested
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates and members in person or via a cellular telephone/radio
- Must be able to read and understand daily work assignments
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 250 pounds frequently
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include AM and PM shifts including weekends and holidays
