What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan specialist position at Anstaff Bank?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The incumbent is responsible to process loans, open new accounts and perform daily input of CRA, Credit line maintenance and paid out loans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist lenders with various requests, including scheduling closings, providing documentation, and aiding with the clearing of technical exceptions.
- Prepare and process documents for all assigned loans.
- Assist customers with questions or problems regarding their loans and deposit accounts.
- Provide values on vehicles for customers. Provide notary public services.
- Process loan payments and advances on loans. Process paid loans and provide pay-off amounts on current loans. Process all claims for credit life insurance.
- Calculate amortization schedules and repayment terms on loans.
- Pull background and credit check on applicants.
- Perform various receptionist and clerical duties.
- Perform CRA input of all business loans. Perform teller duties as back up (as cross training permits).
- Greet customers as they enter the bank and direct to the appropriate employee.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school, plus specialized schooling and / or on the job education in a specific skill area;
E.G. data processing, clerical / administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and / or training.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
