The Event Logistics Specialist will support and assist the Manager of Attractions Event Operations in the successful preparation for and execution of daily programs, events, and conferences for Answers in Genesis at the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. Responsibilities

- Execute exceptional guest service & hospitality to all event guests and day guests of the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.
- Coordinate and facilitate room set-ups and restore events and programs in the Answers Center Auditorium and Lower Level. Also, coordinate with the Accommodations team at the Creation Museum for room set-up and restore for Event Operations-directed events in Legacy Hall, Morris-Whitcomb, and Discovery Hall.
- Learn the All-Seated room layout software program, and develop and maintain room layout plans & seating charts for all events.
- Maintain order and optimum usage of all storage space within the Answers Center as well as an accurate inventory of all Event Operations resources (tables, chairs, linens, etc.)
- Serve as requested as Back of House lead for events, coordinating load-in and load-out activities and providing excellent guest service to speakers, artists, VIPs, event planners and exhibitors during AiG events at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Escort guests upon arrival and facilitate unloading/loading, parking and the distribution of assigned credentials.
- Assist the Front of House Manager is providing stellar guest engagement and wayfinding assistance for daily guests in all Answers Center programming and event spaces. Ensure and enable the placement of correct event and daily programming signage. Serve as Front of House Lead for events as requested.
- Assist the Front of House Manager in maintaining a safe and inviting environment for Answers Center guests by ensuring that all spaces are set to baseline every morning and restored every evening and are clear of debris and any other safety hazards or unsightly items.
- Ensure that the Green Room and Green Room Kitchen are clean, presentable and accommodating to all speakers, artists and VIP guests. Assist the Executive Chef in maintaining an appropriate level of refreshments in the Green Room Kitchen.
- Attend to the daily operational needs of the Answers Center, including assisting with loading dock operations when requested.
- Serve as Event Operations Lead for assigned events, collaborating with internal and/or external event planners to ensure that Event Plans and supporting documents are created on time, are revised as needed and kept up-to-date, and that event information is communicated frequently to the appropriate Attraction Operations teams and individuals. Gather and organize all details necessary to publish thorough and accurate Event Plans, providing pertinent information to all Operations and appropriate AiG departments.
- Attend and participate in event planning and event operations meetings for the Ark Encounter.
- Coordinate and communicate parking arrangements and secure and distribute appropriate credentials for speakers, artists, VIPs, and exhibitors.
- Develop knowledge of all artists, speakers, and client contracts sufficient to execute contract requirements on time and as written.
- Assist the Manager of Attraction Event Operations in developing seating plans and coordination for ticketed and large-scale events.
- Serve as Event Producer, Front-of-House Lead, and/or Back-of-House lead as assigned.
- Schedule post-event recap meetings, and ensure suggested improvements are noted for future events.
- Notice and report maintenance & housekeeping needs to the appropriate persons.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of safety standards and evacuation protocol.
- Serve as a crowd control manager in the Answers Center and Legacy Hall
- And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.

- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- Agrees to a flexible schedule across a 7-day week; able to work weekends as needed at either the Answers Center or the Creation Museum.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must always demonstrate a servant attitude and humble spirit.
Education & Experience
- Related experience in an event center, performance venue, or conference/retreat center environment that provides the required knowledge and ability to perform the above duties and responsibilities.
