Description
Lead Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for performing vehicle and equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement on all ministry vehicles. Including in ministry vehicles are golf carts, passenger vehicles, light and medium duty trucks and related equipment. Knowledge of gas and diesel systems is required. Requires the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and perform repairs including engine, transmission, chassis electrical, suspension, heating and cooling systems. Able to tear down and rebuild parts and systems as needed.

Responsibilities

- Review maintenance requests and execute or delegate as required.
- Coordinate with team members to complete assignments.
- Train team members to ensure thorough knowledge of systems and required maintenance.
- Document all work in FMX.
- Operates all tools in a safe manner and returns all tools to their proper place.
- Keeps the shop area clean and neat.
- Reports any safety issues immediately to supervisor.
- Understands and comply with safety regulations such as OSHA and hazardous waste disposal.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- ASE certification in the following areas;
- Suspension and steering and braking systems.
- Electrical.
- AC, heat and cooling systems.
- Transmission and transaxle.
- Fuel system.
- language skills- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, correspondence and speak effectively. Able to understand a variety of instructions provided in written, verbal or schedule form. Able to read, speak and understand English.
- Math skills- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Computer skills.
