JOB TITLE : Music Teacher
REPORTS TO : School Administrator
STATUS : Full Time Hours : 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm
LOCATION : Erlanger, KY
The music teacher will provide basic vocal and instrumental instruction for a variety of musical styles, working with students either privately or in groups. The teacher will work within a specials classroom setting and introduce pupils to simple music concepts, such as beat, rhythm and pitch, as well as teach them how to read musical notes and symbols. The teacher will also help students prepare for musical performances such as fine arts performances, the annual Christmas program, and other school programs.
The qualified individual must be an evangelical Christian committed to living a biblical lifestyle and in full agreement with the school’s statement of faith. He / she is expected to understand and live out a biblical worldview in all areas and able to teach that worldview in the classroom. He / she must maintain and teachable spirit while demonstrating patience, humility, integrity, and kindness while performing his / her day-to-day duties. The teacher shall be one who feels called of God to the teaching profession. He / she must be devoted to prayerfully work with administration, faculty, students, and parents to develop and maintain a school which is thoroughly Christian and academically exceptional. The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the glory of God.
