Summary / Role Purpose

The Application Developer II configures, enhances, and supports business software applications in support of various areas of business within Ansys. This role is responsible for the validation of business requirements and design approaches, basic and advanced system configuration, limited custom development, advanced report, and database query development for one or more business systems or environments. This role is able to work independently with moderate supervision and participate as a development resource in larger projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs advanced configuration, custom development, testing and documentation for enterprise business applications
• May be recognized as subject matter expert in one or more business applications, development tool or technology platform
• Understands impact of technical problems and can communicate same to line management
• Collaborates with other IT functions on complexity, and development effort required to meet business requirements
• Performs root cause analyses and provides advanced end user support
• Has a working knowledge of industry standards and methods for business system integration

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Associate’s degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting an enterprise CRM, ERP, HCM, CMS, WEB or other business systems
• Advanced experience in database concepts and SQL
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated expertise in one or more development tools such as .NET, Visualforce, PLSQL, HTML, Java, Ajax or a similar tool or platform
• Minimum of 1 year of experience integrating business systems
• Experience in developing custom enhancements to business systems
• Demonstrated ability working in collaborative team environments

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to learn
