Business Development Manager – Logistics Division (North America)

Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 (based on experience)
Antal International is recruiting on behalf of our client, a global leader in the aerospace sector, for a Business Development Manager to drive growth in its Logistics Division across North America. About the Role:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and managing key client relationships in the North American logistics market. The role primarily focuses on the manufacturing, services, and defense sectors, contributing to commercial strategy and revenue growth.
This is a highly autonomous position, requiring a proactive, hands-on approach to sales execution, client engagement, and business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies through market research and industry trend analysis.
- Proactively identify and engage new clients in the North American market, using tailored sales approaches.
- Present the company’s logistics solutions and collaborate with technical teams to develop customized service offerings.
- Drive business growth by identifying contract renewal opportunities, new product offerings, and value-added services for existing clients.
- Provide market insights and contribute to the development of new logistics solutions based on customer needs and industry trends.
Sales & Account Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients in manufacturing, services, and defense logistics.
- Manage new client accounts, contracts, and partner relationships after acquisition.
- Ensure excellent client engagement, handling concerns and escalations to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Accurately update client information in CRM and provide sales reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, operations, technical experts) to ensure a seamless experience for prospects and customers.
- Collaborate with financial, technical, and operational departments to build and present commercial proposals.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Quality, Safety & Compliance:
- Actively identify and report Quality, Safety, and Environmental (QSE) concerns during customer interactions.
- Participate in internal training programs to support safety and compliance standards.
Candidate Profile:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in logistics (WMS, 3PL), aerospace, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the North American market, particularly in manufacturing, services, and defense logistics.
- Proven track record of securing new business, growing key accounts, and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with CRM tools and sales reporting systems.
- Ability to travel as required.
