What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position at Antelope Memorial Hospital?
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is an integral member of our team in providing excellent health care to our care community. This position provides primary, acute, and general/family practice health care services to patients through assessment, diagnosis, intervention, treatment, consultation, and follow-up in collaboration with one of more physicians in the hospital and family practice clinical settings.
The successful candidate must have exceptional teaming and interpersonal skills and be able to maintain constructive relationships while focusing on excellent quality of care.
QUALIFICATIONS of PA:
Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Nebraska without restrictions. Current Physician Assistant Certification.
QUALIFICATIONS of APRN:
A minimum of an APRN degree from an accredited educational institution.
Must have a current license as an RN and APRN in Nebraska without restrictions. Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Association (ANA) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) / American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) required.
Certified BLS, ACLS, ATLS and NRP required. PALS preferred.
Hours of Work: Four, 10-hour days rotating Saturday mornings.
Call: Will rotate ER call night Monday through Thursday and every Friday; rotation by 8 providers, is subject to change at the providers’ discretion.
