POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Bartender Department: Food and Beverage
Salary Range: $11.00 Reports to: Food and Beverage Director
Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non Exempt
POSTITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing quality food and beverage service to guests in a friendly, efficient manner, maintaining and enhancing the quality of our customer service. Bartenders are responsible for the bar area and maintaining proper protocol regarding the service of alcohol while enhancing the experience of our guests. Bartenders will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow established health and safety standards and enhance the service and goals set by Antelope Point Marina.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Greet guests in a polite, positive manner and create an atmosphere of hospitality.
- Possess a working knowledge of all food, beverage, and specials on offer for our guests.
- Responsible for overall guest satisfaction and assist guests in their dining experience.
- Check on guests periodically to ensure all needs are met to their satisfaction.
- Required to accurately take and input orders through our POS system and confirm accuracy.
- Work with and understand multiple types of alcoholic beverages and the proper handling of.
- Work closely with colleagues to relay pertinent information and function efficiently as a team.
- Must work efficiently and in a timely manner even during times of increased business.
- Understand and work efficiently in the layout and processes of the restaurant.
- Responsible for handling cash transactions and maintaining proper reporting.
- Maintain cleanliness and health code standards of the restaurant.
- Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must be at least 19 years of age and willing to work varying shifts including nights and weekends. Knowledge of basic drink recipes. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions and duties are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Prior restaurant experience is required to function efficiently in this role.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge or ability to be trained in point of sales system.

Incumbent will have access to guest confidential payment information and itinerary. Responsibility for

Incumbent will be required to process financial transactions and maintain reporting for restaurant funds. Incumbent will be required to make change and maintain proper procedure regarding cash and credit transactions.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Employees will work both indoors and outdoors and at times in extreme weather conditions when reasonable.

EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Antelope Point Marina
policy regarding employee performance evaluation. The employee understands that a 90 day
performance evaluation will be conducted to discuss job responsibilities and performance requirements.
Should the employee not meet the performance standards of the position, APM management reserves the
right to terminate the employment relationship or relocate the employee to another position within the
company, if available.
INTENT AND FUNCTION OF JOB DESCRIPTION
