JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Facility Maintenance Worker II - CDL Department: Facility Maintenance
Salary Range: $19.00-$21.00 Reports to: Facility Maintenance Managers
Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
Incumbent works with the maintenance staff in varied duties maintaining company property and equipment. Haul refuse including but not limited to solid waste, recyclable materials, sewage to the appropriate processing facilities. Operate water truck to control dust in property's gravel parking lots.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Maintain trucks in safe working order; perform routine maintenance and consult diesel technician as necessary.
- Follow established safety procedures for vehicle operation including the transporting of dangerous goods.
- Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
- Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age. The incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license with specific Commercial Driver License (CDL-Class A) endorsement, associated Medical Examiner's Certificate, and a clean driving record. As a term of the position, the incumbent will submit to the random drug and alcohol testing protocol as established per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and further defined by company policy.
The incumbent must possess reliable transportation to and from work.
Shall possess a positive attitude and professional, mature demeanor; shall have the initiative and drive to maintain the standards of performance determined essential to optimum customer service, safety and supervision. Drive and/or operate service vehicles, including but not limited to large capacity trucks, service carts, and other industry related service equipment. Have the vision capability of seeing and/or recognizing depth perception and multilimb coordination for the purpose of reacting to stimuli (e.g. sound, light, object) in the operation of company vehicles. The position is subject to background checks as a condition of initial and continued employment.
EDUCATION
Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Training from a vocational technical school or trade apprenticeship in relatable maintenance field is preferable.
EXPERIENCE
Applicant shall have at least two years experience in the maintenance or building field or the equivalent training in a vocational school.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Transportation - knowledge of applicable municipal, state, tribal, and federal transportation rules, regulations, and laws including but not limited to signage and traffic control mechanisms.
GENERAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of APM marina services and amenities.
- Guest relation skills which allow calm, effective, polite and professional resolution of guest problems or concerns.
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation.
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in ISO/EMS awareness.
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in employee orientation
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazard communication.
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazardous materials response/respiratory protection.
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in emergency response.

YES. The incumbent must possess knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar for general communication purposes with coworkers, supervisory and management staff, customers, vendors, and other visitors. Strong communication skills are required to maintain the utmost safety and efficient completion of industrial tasks.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The incumbent must be able to work around water. Employees are expected to promote a safe working environment for themselves, coworkers, and our guests.
Position/duties may require lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling objects up to fifty (50) pounds with assistance if reasonably needed, while reaching or handling materials, supplies, tools, equipment and/or debris.
Conduct assignment of shift work during periods up to sixteen (16) hours. Must be able and willing to work a flexible and potentially rotating schedule, including weekends, holidays and during a twenty-four hour period. The position is also subject to "on call" status outside of regularly scheduled shifts to address maintenance tasks which require immediate attention.
The position will involve working outdoors in adverse or inclement weather conditions including but limited to extreme heat.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Antelope Point Marina policy regarding employee performance evaluation. The employee understands that a 90 day performance evaluation will be conducted to discuss job responsibilities and performance requirements. Should the employee not meet the performance standards of the position, APM management reserves the right to terminate the employment relationship or relocate the employee to another position within the company, if available.
